JEX211: Earthwork Plan Reading  is an introductory online, self-guided  workshop for the University of Wyoming Innovation Wyrkshop makerspace. Immediately after signing up, you'll receive an email with the link and passcode to access the course. JEX211 can be found by enrolling in your local instance of the Maker Access Pass and navigating to Pre-Apprenticeship Pathways> Tier 3 in the Construction Pathway.

By the end of the course, you should have a firm handle on:

  • How to read plans including
    • symbols and notations
    • Reading grading plans
  • Different types of earthwork plans
  • Dimensions, layers, and views

Please make sure to enroll in the Maker Access Pass to ensure you receive a badge at the end of this course. You can use your badges to track what you've learned and potentially show potential employers your newfound knowledge.
