This is an online, self-guided workshop for the University of Wyoming Innovation Wyrkshop makerspace, and teaches you the basics of how to fly a drone available in one of our mobile makerspace! Immediately after signing up, you'll receive an email with the link and passcode to access the course. DRON 101 can be found by enrolling in your local instance of the Maker Access Pass and navigating to Complete a Workshop > Extended Reality (XR) > DRON101: Introduction to Drone Piloting. You'll need to attend this course before you can use the DJI Mini 3 Pro drone at any MAP facility. DRON101 covers manuvering basics and best practices, and allows you to become more familiar with basic controls, image, and video capturing.
Please make sure to enroll in the Maker Access Pass to ensure you receive a badge at the end of this course. You can use your badges to track what you've learned, show potential employers, and (after earning enough badges) even receive fun perks. Almost all of our equipment requires training and badges before use.
