Thanks for your interest in GDS102: Introduction to Inkscape!
This is an online, self-guided graphic design software workshop hosted online by the University of Wyoming Innovation Wyrkshop makerspace. Through this course, you'll learn how to get started using Inkscape, an excellent free vector software alternative to industry-standard software such as Adobe Illustrator. Immediately after signing up, you'll receive an email with the link and passcode to access the course. GDS102 can be found by enrolling in your local instance of the Maker Access Pass and navigating to Complete a Workshop > Modeling & Design > GDS102: Introduction to Inkscape.
By the end of the 60 minute GDS102 workshop, you should have a firm understanding of the workflow necessary to begin creating and editing vector-based images in Inkscape, as well as a few tips and tricks to ensure you're designing like a pro.
Please make sure to enroll in the Maker Access Pass to ensure you receive a badge at the end of this course. You can use your badges to track what you've learned, show potential employers, and (after earning enough badges) even receive fun perks. Almost all of our equipment requires training and badges before use.
