Thanks for your interest in WOOD150: Learning Shapeoko CNC Routers! Please note that this is an online, self-guided workshop. Immediately after signing up, you'll receive an email with the link and passcode to access the course.

In order to use the Shapeoko XXL computer numerical control (CNC) router in the EERB Innovation Wyrkshop woodshop, you must attend this workshop. Please make sure that you've already attended and passed SAF150: Woodshop Safety before completing this workshop. By the end of the course, students will:

  • Be able to identify the Shapeoko XXL CNC router
  • Understand how to set up and run the CNC router properly and safely
  • Understand the Shapeoko CAD/CAM software, "Carbide"
  • Learn how to change router bits
  • Learn how to identify common router bits and what they’re used for

Please make sure to enroll in the Maker Access Pass and complete SAF150: Woodshop Safety before you complete the WOOD150 badge. You can use your badges to track what you've learned, show potential employers, and (after earning enough badges) even receive fun perks. Almost all of our equipment requires training and badges before use.
